“Luck is what happens
when preparation meets opportunity.”

The Ministry for Education and Employment is the only Governmental entity in Europe that has combined Education and Employment under one Ministry. This provides continuity of care for youth who are transitioning from education into the world of work. JAYE Malta and the Ministry for Education and Employment have been working closely for over 2 decades to ensure that Maltese youth get the appropriate educational background that will help them succeed in an increasingly competitive economy. Through the collaboration with the Ministry for Education and Employment, JAYE Malta has extended activities across the educational spectrum, from primary all the way to tertiary education level. It is through such collaboration that Maltese youth can develop core employability skills that contextualise academic learning through practice.
As the National employment and training agency, the link between Jobs+ and JAYE Malta is one that continues to extend the opportunities available to Maltese youth to develop the necessary employability skills for the 21st century.
The Ministry for the Economy, industry and small business is responsible for creating an environment conducive to business development and nurture a start up culture for local youth. The Ministry for the Economy, industry and small business also launched the Entrepreneurship through Education fund in 2011 to facilitate educational institutions working with entities like JAYE Malta to implement entrepreneurship activities in primary and secondary schools.
