On 1st March Junior Achievement Young Enterprise (JAYE) Malta Foundation delivered, Economics for Success, a workshop for 11-12 year-olds, as part of the Malta Bankers Association’s European Money Week celebrations. This event was hosted in collaboration with the Central Bank of Malta.
The 45 participating students were drawn from two schools, St. Michaels Foundation and St Monica School Birkirkara. During this event, students enjoyed a lively morning of activities, exploring concepts such as self-awareness, career paths and budgeting through interactive activities and games. The activities were delivered by talented business professionals who contributed their professional experience to the workshop.
This one-off event forms part of JAYE Malta’s Entrepreneurial Movement, which is a nationwide initiative to promote financial literacy, social consciousness and employability skills in Malta. In March and April of 2018, JAYE Malta will deliver the Economics for Success Programme, as well as another programme for 7 to 9 year-olds, to young people across Malta in partnership with schools and local businesses.
As JAYE Malta celebrates its 30th Anniversary this year, it is renewing its efforts to empower and inspire Malta’s youngest minds through its events. JAYE Malta would like to warmly thank the teachers and business professionals who made the ‘European Money Week: Economics for Success’ event possible. Thanks to the Malta Bankers Association, HSBC PLC Malta and Bank of Valletta for participating in this event as Trainers, to the Central Bank of Malta for generously hosting this event and to the teachers of Saint Michaels Foundation and St Monica School Birkirkara for sharing this opportunity with their students and for joining in with the fun!
