Ever wondered what it means to be innovative? Well we may have the answer for you, but it’s not one you may be looking for … so only the bold proceed below!
Do you occasionally take a different route to work in the morning?
Do you sometimes wear different coloured socks when getting ready to go out?
Do you sporadically change the way your ornaments are placed on the sideboard in your living room?
Do you find yourself frequently re-organising your desk drawer?
Do you look at the way you sift through your e-mail inbox?
Do you search for apps that help you manage your tasks more efficiently?
Do you try to source ways of increasing your income?
Do you switch laptop / mobile phone brands as technology evolves?
Do you convert to more efficient energy sources?
Do you happen to get out of bed on the … other side?
Well then contrary to what you may be thinking, it’s not a mere coincidence; You may not be conscious of it, but you are actually, yes here it comes, the bombshell you’ve been waiting for, innovating!
From the moment you open your eyes to the moment you sleep again, you are constantly trying to innovate, improve, diversify, improve, create, regenerate, transform.
It starts with us, you, me and … believe it or not, it stays with us.
From the wheel, to steam engines, combustion engines, jet engines, the light bulb, the telephone, the automobile, the aeroplane, landing on the moon, the world wide web, electric engines, IOT, and blockchain, we determine what is innovative today and what will be innovative tomorrow.
That is why JAYE Malta will be attending the first Malta Innovation Summit on Friday 13th October, because if we want to help youth become innovative, we need to make sure we ARE innovative and we keep apace with what leading innovators are talking about.
JAYE Malta has been – for nearly 30 years now – providing innovative, forward looking “learning by doing” opportunities to youth as early as 7-8 years of age to explore their inner innovator and discover their entrepreneurial potential with their own initiative, creativity and, let’s admit it, zest for all things innovative that adults tend to loose along the way.
In the words of Johan Zammit, Director for Strategic Initiatives at Netrefer who are organising the MIS and participant during our 2017 Leaders For A Day initiative, “I really appreciate the work that JAYE does [and] JAYE companies and initiatives are very innovative”.
We will continue to ensure that we remain at the forefront of providing learning by doing opportunities to our youth at all levels of education, and that is why we to, will be ‘learning by (what others are) doing’ at MIS on Friday.
Join us on Friday 13th at the Malta Innovation Summit, JAYE Malta will be exhibiting at the summit.
