WHAT IS THE COMPANY PROGRAMME?
The Company Programme is where you (a 6th form student) will learn how to take a business idea from concept to reality.
Supported by expert volunteer’s and advisers from the local business community, you will learn to take responsibility for the success of your company and gain skills in:
- Financial control
The programme runs from October to May and is broken up into three modules - Module 1, Module 2 and Module 3.
A certificate of participation is awarded to all students (Achievers) who complete the programme.
The Company Programme culminates in the HSBC Company of the Year Finals and Awards night when the best performing JAYE Malta mini-company is announced as the winner of the national competition. Titleholders then progress to the JA Europe Company of the Year Competition to be held in Croatia in late July 2018 and get the unique opportunity to compete on an international stage!
WHAT DO THE THREE MODULES ENTAIIL?
You will raise share capital and call an annual general meeting to declare your dividends and submit a report to your shareholders at the end of the scholastic year.
In your team you will develop a business idea in the form of a product or service, as well as:
- Conduct research
The Company Programme is recognised by the European Commission Enterprise Directorate General as a 'Best Practice in Entrepreneurship Education'.
