This blog post is written by a Company Programme alumni, Corrine Annette Zahra from M.A. Refalo, Gozo.
“If your dreams don’t scare you, they’re not big enough!”
That is the quote that inspired me to participate in the Company Programme.
Having just entered a new school with tough subjects, I was considering not adding more activities to focus on my A Levels.
I guess I’m just ambitious. And I also don’t take no for an answer. And I like to take opportunities. And I like to prove everyone who said “You’re too busy” wrong!
Yes, I did prove them wrong.
Not only did my company, Gozode, make a profit, we also won the prestigious award, The Philip Bonett Award for Perserverance.
To be successful in the Company Program, you must be committed and hardworking before anything else. There will be moments where you will feel like giving up…
However, ambition is what should drive you to always continue.
Besides, giving up is for losers.
My company was made up of only 3 members and so our small size limited the company and there were many moments when we wanted to give up but we didn’t and so from our experience we can assure you that the Company Programme is very beneficial. For example, we got to take a picture with the Azure Window before it fell down.
The Company Programme teaches you many things that you will not learn at school and you will meet incredible people to help you along the way.
What the Company Programme reminded me at the end is that it is not impossible to cross seas to reach my goal.
The word “impossible” itself says “I’m possible”.
So if you think the ferry is going to be a big problem, there’s no need to fret about it because I went through the Company Programme and I do not regret it.
